➢ Assist the Chief Executive in the planning, administration and implementation of the Institute’s engagement with the Malaysian public sector, especially – but not limited to – state governments.➢ Oversee, develop and implement strategies to promote the Institute’s policy research and development capabilities with state governments, including – among others – economic development, foreign trade and investment, sustainability, innovation, and education and skills development.➢ Cooperate with the Chief Executive, directors and research heads in identifying the requisite capabilities, resources and skills for the Institute to engage in policy research and development projects for Malaysian state governments.➢ Oversee the design and implementation of activities to improve the Institute’s access to information on state government’s decision-making.➢ Design and implement activities that strengthen relationships and cooperation between the Institute and key stakeholders in specific states, including those in federal and state governments, civil society organisations, and other relevant and influential individuals/groups.➢ Primary liaison on behalf of the Institute in the planning, development and delivery of policy research and development projects for state governments. This often involves working closely with the research teams to ensure that the product delivered matches the requirements and expectations of the client.➢ Cooperate with the Chief Executive and other team leaders in undertaking all appropriate measures in the pursuance of the Institute’s objectives.
