About Jamil A Ghani
I am a S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) PhD Candidate; my research interests includes foreign and national policies, culture and politics in contemporary Malaysia, and the securitisation process of Chinese foreign direct investments in ASEAN countries. Prior to joining RSIS, I was attached to The Insitute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, and have worked in both the private and public sectors, specialising in successful private-public partnerships. I have also written extensively in the Edge Malaysia and The New Straits Times, on a variety of policy issues covering economic, social, environmental, tech and security matters, that impact Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian region.
