As a person who initially didn't finish high school but later earned two graduate degrees with highest distinction, the path to becoming an education professional was both serendipitous and ironic. I will spare you the long story. The short of it is that I came to view education as a means to close gaps. You know the ones: opportunity, achievement, and socioeconomic status. Growing up, I experienced all three first-hand and, as a result, eventually made it my business to help close those gaps as an educator, role model, mentor, and mother.Along the way, I have picked up key transferable skills that are vital to project/program management in numerous industries.
