Advocating for scholars who cannot access the general education curriculum without additional support. This includes: managing the IEP process from start to finish; coordinating and scheduling of Related Services (speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, etc.); monitoring all scholars grades 5 to 8 for potential interventions; leading IEP meetings alongside the Committee of Special Education in NYC and working with parents to ensure their children can excel with the supports they deserve. I also educate my fellow staff on the SPRINT process and how special education/SDI/RTI should be implemented in our school.

Reading and discussing research papers relevant to developmental and ecological psychology, working on studies/projects with graduate students, which include(d/s): coding video data with Datavyu, troubleshooting coding schemes, creating and editing Qualtrics surveys, assisting with running participants for studies, and training fellow student researchers. Also included recruiting children for UConn KIDS (Kids in Developmental Science) during Summer 2018.
