As a Youth Fellow with the See Us, Support Us (SUSU) campaign, I collaborate with a national initiative focused on advocating for children of incarcerated parents. My role involves:Amplifying the voices of youth impacted by parental incarceration through various platforms and initiatives.Coordinating and organizing events and campaigns to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding parental incarceration.Facilitating workshops and discussions aimed at educating communities and policymakers on the unique challenges faced by these youth.Building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, educators, and stakeholders to strengthen support networks for affected youth.Engaging in strategic planning and contributing to the development of resources and programs designed to empower and uplift children of incarcerated parents.Through this role, I am dedicated to creating a more inclusive and empathetic environment where every child feels seen, heard, and supported.
