I hail from the sun-kissed heart of agriculture—the vibrant city of Bakersfield, CA, nestled in the fertile Central Valley. Growing up surrounded by countless crops and the scent of ag in the air, I developed a passion for all things related to agriculture.My academic journey led me to Brigham Young University - Idaho, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Agronomy. Armed with knowledge about soil science, crop management, and sustainable practices, I embarked on a mission to contribute to the very industry that shaped my upbringing.Currently, I'm pursuing my masters degree at New Mexico State University. My focus? Water conservation and irrigation scheduling in pecan orchards — a critical area of research, especially in the arid Southwest. I'm fascinated by the delicate balance between maximizing crop yield and minimizing water usage.
