Ipswitch builds software to securely move your most valuable data. The Madison location was staffed by 22 employees, including developers, quality assurance technicians, sales and customer support professionals. I provided administrative support to the File Transfer Division and completed project work for many departments (Operations, Professional Services, Cloud Operations, Sales). Maintenance of data integrity in Salesforce.com and a cloud-based billing database as well as ensuring timely submission by staff of expense reports were part of my daily duties. I also liaised with the building owner to coordinate maintenance. Key projects included:• Performing data cleanup in Sage CRM to prepare for conversion to Salesforce.com. • Coordinated customer training for Professional Services staff.• Coordinated the new employee processing with Corporate HR in Lexington, MA.• Set up benefits meetings with employees for the vendor, tracked employee service awards, and performed other Human Resources duties as needed.• Planned and coordinated volunteer and employee events, including holiday parties and community outreach.• Converted paper files for upload into Sharepoint.

I was hired into this position as a receptionist and part-time HR Assistant and promoted within the first year to full-time HR Assistant. I delivered HR trainings and presentations to engineering, shop personnel, and project managers. Training included topics such as Harassment Awareness and Prevention; Employee Orientation; Performance Management System Training, and Phone Training. I participated in the recruitment process; including tracking, communicating with and screening applicants; reference checks; and placing ads. Performance Management support included entering data, updating and reconciling the TrakStar performance management system and the HRIS system. I developed and continuously improved job descriptions; developed, recommended, and implemented appropriate policies and procedures. Other office duties included conducting background checks for site clearance, maintaining professional engineering license records, co-writing and co-editing the quarterly internal newsletter, and planning social events and other office functions.
