Supports preclinical through commercial cGMP-regulated projects for drug substances and drug products. Works on both government and industrial contracts. Drug product work includes injectables, topicals, and solid oral dosage forms. Emphasis is in small molecules and peptides.Analytical emphasis is in chromatography methods development and validation (HPLC, UHPLC, and GC), but also includes dissolution/disintegration, Karl Fischer water determination, particulate matter by light obscuration, residual solvents analysis, structural elucidation/confirmation via infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy (1D, 2D, and quantitative), mass spectrometry (MS and MS/MS), and various wet chemistry analyses. Supports projects spanning methods development, transfer, and qualification/validation, characterization, impurity identification, release, and stability work. Reviews data, evaluates trends, conducts investigations as needed, writes technical protocols and reports, responds to internal and external audits, and maintains client relations.Has performed as GLP Study Director for analytical support of toxicology studies for drug substances and drug products.Has served as technical leader for the analytical support of the Centralized Chemopreventative Agent Repository Program (NCI-DCP/NIH). The agents evaluated include active pharmaceutical ingredients and solid-oral dosage form drug products.Has served as the technical leader for the Shelf-Life Evaluation of Investigational Dosage Forms (NCI-DTP/NIH). The agents evaluated include topicals, injectables and solid-oral dosage form drug products.Has acted as the Stability Facility Coordinator for the ICH stability storage, and worked on the chromatography instrument repair and qualification group.
