Songs That Saved Your Life is a weekly radio show and Substack newsletter about rock & roll history, told from a queer lens. With a readership of almost 1,000 subscribers, Songs That Saved Your Life is a celebration of the rich history of rock music and the impact that it has had on queer audiences. Although the publication is for all music lovers, it is dedicated to reclaiming rock history stories where sexual orientation, gender identity, and race have been minimized.

- Define and lead execution of high volume recruiting strategy of over 1,600 yearly term staff and over 150 year round employees with a 400k annual budget. - Lead a team of 4 Talent Acquisition Specialists and conduct weekly team meetings and bi-weekly 1:1 coaching to support their growth.- Develop extensive campus recruiting strategy and execute over 100 virtual and in-person career fair events and info sessions each year. Partner with professors, school clubs, and Career Specialists at top Computer Science and Engineering schools. - Source for technical and non-technical roles including software and QA engineers and executive roles. - Establish, track and analyze talent acquisition reports and metrics to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the team, hiring managers/interviewers, referrers and all parts of hiring.- Revamped recruiting processes to create more transparency and equity in the company’s hiring practices. My team trains all hiring managers on interview etiquette and QA recorded interviews to provide ongoing feedback. - Co-Founded iD Tech’s JEDI Council (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) in 2018 and help define the company’s strategic plan and track KPIs to present to the board. - Dedicated 25% of recruiting budget to DEI job boards including partnerships with HBCU Career Network, POCIT, Diversity.com, and the Society of Black, Hispanic, Women Engineers.- Created internal referral program to reduce sourcing costs. - Extensive expertise in recruiting tools – Handshake, WayUp, Linkedin Recruiter, and Indeed.

- Directed all aspects of development and operations for 50 locations in the Northeast spanning from New Jersey to Maine.- Oversaw daily responsibilities of 7 Regional Managers, including hiring, training & coaching teams of over 400 seasonal term staff. - Grew revenue by $3M annually and increased participant capacity by 7% each year for a total of 72,000 students in my territory. - Fortified 50 partnerships to host our programs with universities including NYU, Columbia, Vassar College, MIT, and Harvard. Oversaw contract negotiations and partner relationships. - Spearheaded term staff recruiting committee and oversaw the strategy of sourcing and hiring over 2,000 term staff for seasonal positions through campus recruiting, professor/school club outreach, referral programs, and robust Handshake campaigns. Was promoted to Head of Talent to oversee all recruiting strategy for term and full-time positions.

- Wrote articles specializing in comedy, music, and travel for The Advocate and OUT Traveler publications.- Spearheaded and managed The Advocate's comedy Twitter feed, Gaysayer.

- Managed operations by facilitating communication between all three studios, booking audio booths for voiceover and sound design projects and working with producers and our creative team to provide a great overall experience. Clients included the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, The Learning Channel, and PBS. - Handled all office logistics from fielding calls, scheduling audio engineers to projects, and preparing invoices.

- Supervised a team of approximately 60 seasonal staff.- Recruited and onboarded artists, web developers, and programmers and conducted both in-person and online training seminars.- Managed million dollar budgets, negotiated contracts, and researched potential business opportunities.- Oversaw all event coordination including travel and lodging, catering, expense reports, and equipment rental.- Spearheaded social media campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin.

- Responsible for the smooth launch and operation of six tech education programs across Southern California.- Recruited, hired, trained, and managed 80 seasonal employees each year.- Successfully increased enrollment using online and grassroots marketing efforts. - Earned bonuses each year for surpassing annual revenue goals.

- Operated studio cameras, audio board and teleprompter for live morning and weekend news.- Edited video news packages for prime time newscasts.- Promoted to prime time schedule from weekend and 6am newscasts after only 3 months.

- Promoted to Technical Director for several live pledge drives.- Promoted to Floor Director for live and taped PBS specials and pledge drives. - Operated studio cameras, audio board, character generator and teleprompter. Built and lit sets for various shows. - Edited on air promo packages for various PBS programs.
