Third year as a 7th grade math teacher at Brooklyn Park Middle School. Beyond the numbers, it is essential to connect with students so they can see a teacher cares about their futures. Classroom management and routines are important for students to have structure within classroom setting.Graduated from Hood College with a Communication Arts degree. During my time at Hood, I worked in the athletic department as an administrative assistant in the Sports Information department where I spent four years working with Outlook, Premiere Pro, maintaining social media websites with live updates, Microsoft Office and volunteer work. At home events, I would record games and provide the footage to each coach after the game. Pictures and footage taken from games were edited and distributed to necessary parties.I held the position of VP of Tradition and Education for Black Student Union, a student organization to give minorities at Hood College a voice, where my duty was to manage all academic affairs in regards to African American tradition. It was also my duty of running the annual Liberation Weekend celebration held at Hood where students and their families would come to interact with the programs for the events held.
