About Jamon Holmgren

Hi! I'm Jamon. I've owned multiple businesses and have over 30 years of coding experience (since I was 12), including 20 professionally. I love talking shop and meeting other software developers and business owners.Before co-founding Infinite Red, I started a software consulting business at 23 years old and ran it for a decade, before merging it into another to become Infinite Red.My core technical expertise is in software engineering: mainly iOS/Android mobile apps and web applications. Over the last 20 years, I have coded at a high level in languages including Ruby, PHP, Elixir, Objective-C, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, and many more.When I'm not leading my team of 25 software engineers, I'm very active in open source and am on the core team on React Native as well as several other popular libraries. I'm also the primary host of the React Native Radio podcast as well as an occasional Twitch streamer and YouTuber.I am also a creator and co-organizer of Chain React, the largest React Native conference in the USA.I live just north of Portland, Oregon, with my wife Chyra and kids, on a few acres surrounded by trees and vineyards. Our son's wife just had a baby, making us grandparents, which has been amazing.
