MCC is a global, nonprofit organization that strives to share God’s love and compassion for all through relief, development and peacebuilding that works with partner organization Sandra Jones Centre.This is a home for children whos rights have been violated, in the city of Bulawayo. The Centre has a multifunctional approach to meeting the emotional, social, and academic needs of the children. It runs a vocational program that gives the girls skills in rearing animals and crop production.RESPONSIBILITIES• Provide information to vocational girls on gardening, the use of various garden tools and products, and the care of greenhouse and plants.• Perform routine maintenance on and modifications to a variety of greenhouse and nursery equipment; maintain irrigation systems.• Monitor plants for healthy growth and potential weed, insect, disease, and fertilizer problems in greenhouse crops.• Provide daily care to greenhouse and nursery plants to include, planting, transplanting, pruning, and watering.• Maintain each greenhouse room at the appropriate temperature, and humidity level.• Inspect plant material for disease and insect problems, light levels, temperature, and mechanical damage.• Record data and maintain records of the farm.• Spray, dust, shade, and fumigate crops against diseases.• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
