Eskilstuna, Sweden

Lead a small team that developed application software for a transmission control unit for truck applications. One of the main scopes of the project was to change the software platform in the control unit to fit a new eletronic platform in the trucks. Among other things it involved new communications and diagnostics concepts based on the AUTOSAR standard. One of the toughest challenges was to coordinate the team with a multitude of stakeholders, such as external and internal projects within the Volvo Group, subcontractors etc. Also having to prioritize between constantly changing stakeholder needs on a fixed budget and timeplan. Using Scrum as a tool to master the difficulties.

Eskilstuna, Sweden

Development of powertrain control functions, lock-up and RBB, for an update of heavy duty wheel loaders. Starting as software developer, later leading the software sub project, involving up to 7 persons, between April 2008 and April 2009. Responsible for all software development activities in the project. The sub project spanned over several control units such as HMI and engine control unit but the main focus was on powertrain control functions in the vehicle ECU.

Danderyd, Sweden

Development of software for a package based radio communications network ("DAN") used in the Saab Training Systems product "GAMER". The network comprised both in-house developed and standard communication protocols, a network controller (NC), radio base stations and mobile units. Among my tasks were advanced Windows programming in the NC unit, such as communication functions with real time requirements, requirements documentation, design, and verification.Technical environment: Visual C++, MFC, C, Windows XP Embedded, TCP/IP, GPS, RationalRose, UML, SourceSafe, Office VBA, MS Office.

I developed advanced programming tasks in C++/MS Visual Studio using MFC technology. I participated in the development of a network controller for a package based radio communications network. Project management, specification, design, implementation and testing of the softwares were included in my tasks. During the whole employment I worked for one single customer, Saab Training Systems AB, as an in-house consultant. Balthazar was closed down in 2005.

I worked in a project developing a military search radar (Arthur) used to locate enemy artillery by tracking the shells while being in the air. I was involved in the development of embedded real-time software for the control system. The software I wrote handled tasks such as controlling search modes, frequency shifts of transmitted microwave signals, beam control, decoding and combining results from various video signals, detecting tracks and handling track records, sending updates to the GUI, reporting errors from other subsystems etc.Key responsibilities:• Detailed design, coding and testing of software units in the embedded control system• Writing Unix shell and awk scripts for tests and configuration of the control system• Updating design specifications on subsystem levelTechnologies used:Ada95, vxWorks, Unix (Sun/Solaris), Power PC, UML/Rational Rose 98

I worked in a project developing a vehicle electronics system for city buses and coaches. The system was based on CAN, a serial bus communication standard widely used in the automotive industry.Key responsibilities:• System integration, integration testing and verification in the complete electrical system• Writing system requirements and verification specifications• Trouble-shooting erroneous functions distributed over several control units and serial buses• Coordination of test activities involving subcontractors, vehicles, personnel etc• Technical support during test activities and building of demo and pre-series vehicles

I worked in two projects developing helicopter carried laser scanning equipment. The systems were to be used to scan topographical data from the ground as well as the sea bottom. A military version also was used to chase submarines. I worked with a subsystem that calculated the X, Y, and Z values of each ground position based on beam angles, echo response times, and data from the GPS and the inertial navigation systems among others.
