I teach craft projects for CMV on cruise ships. In January 2017 I started helping around 44 passengers to make a 25 block quilt to commemorate their trip around the world on MV Magellan. The quilt I made to demonstrate with is now hanging permanently in the ship as a reminder of the Grand Maiden Voyage Around The World on Magellan which was absolutely amazing in every way! We even made an extra quilt which was raffled and raised £1300 for the RNLI!In 2018 we went round the world again with another quilt class and the quilt I made for that cruise is now hanging outside The dome on MV Columbus. We raised £2309 for the RNLI on this cruise.In 2019 we sailed to South America on MV Marco Polo and I presented CMV with the quilt I made for this cruise. It is now hanging in the reception area on Marco Polo. We made a charity quilt yet again and this time we raised £2310 - just a little more than we did on Columbus last year and that was on a ship half the size and on a cruise half the length! Well done Marco cruisers!So many people would like a repeat performance next year!

I look after the members of The Quilters' Guild in the UK and help the regional coordinators with queries, problems, etc. I would like to be able to help increase the membership too.
