To Hiring Manager,I am writing to you today regarding the position that you currently have available.As a motivated, fit and highly experienced Heavy Equipment Operator working within the excavation and demolition company, I would like to take this opportunity to apply in order to expand my skills and gain a career within the mining industry.Being exposed to various heavy machinery and equipment, I consider myself to be mechanically minded, I am dedicated to learning new skills, and I am now seeking a new challenge within an environment where I can acquire new skills, foster a long-term career, and contribute my strong work ethic to drive success within your business.Some relevant experience and skills I possess are:•Safely operate Caterpillar 740 and 773 Dump trucks to transport, load and unload dirt, stones, concrete and other materials into hoppers, designated ROM, stockpiles and crushers, ensuring loads are placed in correct dump locations and reversing into pits to be top-loaded ensuring the unloading zone is clean and clear of hazards before dumping loads.•Extensive experience in operating a wide range of excavators spanning from 10, 30, 100-tonne and Case 245, 470 and 500 Excavators and I am proficient in utilising diverse attachments to accomplish tasks such as trenching, grading, digging, and material handling.•Responsible for safely operating 20-tonne Case 1121f, 721g and 821g, New Holland w230c and Hitachi zw220 Wheel Loades to lift and transport rubble, debris and various materials from the site, loading trucks and utilising various attachments to perform digging and levelling tasks.•Complete detailed pre-starts and minor maintenance of the trucks and all mobile plant before operating- checking lights, electrics, fluids, oils, tyre pressure, hydraulic system, bucket, cylinder, undercarriage, arm, boom, cab, counterweights, all attachments, and reporting any defects.•Participated in daily pre-start meetings ensuring full compliance with all relevant rules and regulations including per JHA’s, SOP’s, hazard identification and reporting to promote a safe working environment that is incident and injury free.A few of the licences and qualifications that I possess are a C Class Drivers Licence, Police Clearance, White Card, Excavator, Articulated Dump/Haul Truck, Rigid Dump Truck/Haul Truck.
