Jan-Bas Bollen (1961) has an international career as a composer, performer and digital artist and is active in both autonomous art and art-in-context. Besides writing traditional scores, he specialises in digital media art and his in-depth technological expertise on both analog and digital systems is widely appreciated, as well as his hands-on approach of technical challenges. As an educator, he has 20 years of experience in tertiary education.Jan-Bas combines these activities with his role as an experienced, independent senior consultant with a demonstrated history in the cultural field. He has been an advisor for the Dutch Arts Council and is hired by independent organisations for his insights into art policies and an extensive network of specialists and consultants in the scene. He has also been active as a member of concert programme committees, as a cultural producer and as a board member for the Dutch composers association.
