As Doctoral Student in the Group of Prof. Grützmacher in the Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry, I mainly worked in the field of organotransition metal chemistry. I synthesized and characterized for example Rh(I)-ether-olefin complexes and studied their catalytic activities towards the dehydrogenative alcoholysis of silanes.In another project, I synthesized aromatic and anti-aromatic, anionic hydrocarbons and characterized them by NMR and UV/Vis spectroscopy, DFT-calculations (NICS values) and single crystal X-ray analysis.As assistant of the Inorganic Laboratory Course, I supervised 8–10 students. This included the organization of the weekly theory seminars as well as the correction and discussion of their reports.
