Founder and CEO of Environmental & Management Solutions (EMS) Limited. EMS Ltd is an incorporated charity that has been operational since November 2009. The company is based in east Hull but covers; Hull, East Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire. We work with, residents, community groups and local businesses to alleviate food and fuel poverty. Our services operate under the following company objectives: Growing: Developing community allotments, growing spaces and edible gardensEnergy: Offer a range of practical energy saving equipment, support and advice so residents can save money on their fuel bills. Food: The Hull Community Shop (HCS) a project turning surplus produce from supermarkets/suppliers into affordable food. The HCS also includes cooking on a budget and healthy eating activities with residents. Nature: Homes to Roost, building bird/bat boxes and bug hotels with schools, community groups and residential homes. All Objectives: Working with volunteers with various abilities on a range of environmental projects to increase their self confidence, health and general wellbeing. Interacting with residents and businesses facilitating consultation events on a variety of issues in order to help find solutions to improve local areas and ensure resident voices are heard. I have overseen a large number of projects including 1000 properties on an environmental improvements scheme. Two large play parks.Traffic calming measures. Installation of 12 CCTV cameras. 10 years of delivering of neighbourhood management on Preston Road, east Hull. Full programme of environmental education.10 years of running the gardening competition Park Area in Bloom.Specialities: Community consultation, community allotments, edible gardens, pop up gardens, energy awareness and efficiency programmes.
