I write fiction for older middle grade - I have published the first part in my #resist #feminist 1930s 'girl's own' style adventure, part 2 to follow shortly, concluding with part 3 in 2022. I also write short stories, usually for adults. I record my own work - some examples are included in this profile. I've been broadcast reading my work on the BBC via BBC Upload, I had a Doctor Who story serialised by BBC radio Solent December 20.I've been a SCBWI Undiscovered Voices honorary mention and won the first Greenhouse Literary Agency competition (in association with Writers' Forum). I've been also SCBWI British Isles volunteer, having been editor in chief for Words & Pictures - SCBWI British Isles blog Magazine, for which I won the society's outstanding contribution award, co-chaired the SCBWI British Isles conference and facilitated my local group.I've organised events in a paid and volunteer capacity - conferences, workshops, street parties, family fun days, groups, community initiatives. I also love to sing folk and songs from the shows. Too many favourite books and authors to list.
