My current role as a Senior Trains Manager includes clear leadership in all areas to meet all of our excellent safety standards at Merseyrail, Working collaboratively within a team and having a positive attitude to drive performance to deliver our goals/results.Continual development of our Train Managers which includes competence management and people management provides clear direction and coaching intervention where and when required .I proactively manage attendance , discipline and conduct issues in my team, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.I have also had the opportunity to step up into a Depot Management role for both Train Managers and our Train Drivers, this helped with improvements in the depot this also included depot safety inspections and appropriate risk assessments ensuring they are carried out to a high standard to ensure any safety risks are effectively managed. Investigate incidents and accidents and other issues locally, leading, reviewing and sharing best practice to improve ways of working to prevent reoccurrence alongside the safety team.A huge part of my Senior Trains Manager role includes performance , engagement and the identification of key trends, along side sharing suggestions for appropriate actions to minimise risks and achieve Operational Excellence.Successful engagement is key for performance and staff welfare , I strive to ensure our team have pride in what they do on a daily basis and the work place (depot) environment is not just happy place but also motivated depot which in turn will produce a path of success and organisational goals.
