"I just bought a book - Just came out in 2018 - immediately found my first misspelled word - and this was an educational book/reference material!!" I was going to change my summary but I still feel this way. Day to day I find mistakes, sometimes very simple mistakes, mistakes made in grammar, spelling, even double word use. It is not something I "look" for, it is something that pops out at me after years of accomplished secretarial work. Mistakes are made in printed material. I'm not talking just social media (that's frightening!) - I'm talking web writing; books; newspapers & magazines....Are we so used to our computers doing our editing, spell checking? Whatever happened to proofreading?Writing is still my passion, so I also do free lance work when I can. Reading and words - they should teach it better in our schools.
