I have over ten years experience working in the emergency health services for Germany. I am the first line of defense in a medical emergency, and often tasked with leading the scene and working closely with other front line emergency service providers such as the police and the fire service.Attention to detail and precise reporting is at the forefront of my work, only a second from the safety and welfare of the patient I am tending to.It is vital to combine both communication and care, from handovers to the doctor at the hospital, to ensuring that the patient is understanding of their situation.I have to make decisions in an emergency, such as pain relief and immediate response to certain injuries.I remain composed in any circumstance, and am able to act fast with decision making to ensure that the right steps are taken.Some of my tasks include:● Providing rescue and emergency medical assistance● Conducting equipment and vehicle checks of the ambulance● Operating emergency vehicles in a safe and efficient manner● Evaluating patient vital signs and status to determine care needs● Administered tests and medication to establish patients in the field or in transit● Developed and maintained rapport with coworkers and local hospital staff to facilitate efficient patient care● Deliver exceptional level of service to each patient by listening and addressing concerns and answering questions● Continuous training and development

In the year 2018 I was successful in my exams and given the promotion to team leader of my very own station. I was the youngest team leader on record for Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. RV Lippe - Höxter.In line with the tasks listed above, my senior position also comes with the following tasks:● Taking care of the duty phone, being on call for any work related emergencies, and covering shifts for any colleagues who are unwell.● Taking a full inventory of supplies on a regular basis, and disposing of any out of date● Working office days at my station, speaking with suppliers● Leading and communicating with my team● Completing order forms for new stock to a strict deadline● Administration work and the smooth running of the station as a whole● Attending leadership council and other meetings

I was stationed at the only Intensive Care Ambulance in North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany for complicated and medically demanding long distance transports of critical patients in need of specialty wards. This includes carrying the responsibility of the vital signs of the patient, preparing and applying medication in order to keep patients stable in very close work with the discharging doctor, using, handling and setting parameters for highly advanced equipment like respirators, perfusors, invasive blood pressure, BGA‘s and ECMO‘s.
