More than 35 years experience in international cooperation, of which 10 years in long term assignments in Colombia, Tanzania and Indonesia. Has undertaken over 80 missions, to some 50 countries, for the past 20 years mainly as team leader for clients, such as the EU, World Bank, bilateral donors and research institutes. Has carried out more than 20 Mid-Term /Final Evaluations since 2000. Over 15 years experience and proven abilities in the following thematic fields: - Environmental management; climate change adaptation - Rural and agricultural research and development (production, marketing);- Food security and poverty reduction strategies;- Rehabilitation and reconstruction (post-conflict/post disaster); - Good governance, institutional development, capacity building and local government;- Sector policy and strategy formulation through:- Identification, preparation, formulation and monitoring & evaluation of donor aid programmes and projects (development, rehabilitation and reconstruction and relief) at local, regional, national level;- Institutional analysis of (complex) programmes and projects, with a special emphasis on monitoring & evaluation systems, donor harmonisation and aid delivery mechanisms;Specific experience in: Logical Framework Analysis, Project Cycle Management, EC Guidelines for Evaluations. Participatory research and rapid rural appraisal and evaluation techniques; Training-teaching and facilitating/moderating of workshops; Interpersonal skills in multicultural environments; In-depth knowledge to Experience in conflict, post-conflict and post disaster areas Broad experience in leading large multidisciplinary study and advisory teams. Extensive experience in assessment of cross-cutting issues (gender, environment, good governance, corruption, human rights) First class editing skills and experience in producing multidisciplinary study and evaluation reports
