Teach: Introduction to New Testament, Introduction to Old Testament, Introduction to World Religions, upper level classes focused on specific parts of the Bible (e.g. Feminist Interpretation of the Bible, Paul's Interpretation of Jesus, Ecological Readings of the Bible), biblical Greek, biblical Hebrew, Introduction to Women and Gender Studies, Introduction to World Religions, First Year Interdisciplinary Seminar, "Call of Service" domestic travel course during May Term, independent directed studies.Advise: mentor students as they move through their undergraduate education.Community Service: Serve on faculty committees, including the Admissions Committee, Budget and Liaison Committee, Constitution and Nominating Committee. Assist with admission events and scholarship days. Participate in Indianola Green Team and the ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church in Des Moines. Leadership: Serve as department chair and interim director of Women and Gender Studies (for 2015-16).

Respond to emergencies at a level-one trauma center to provide support to patients, families, and care-givers. Respond to patient requests for pastoral care during nights and week-ends.
