As an Improvement Process Manager, I championed and drive substantial process improvements within the global R&D component engineering community. My key contributions include:• Streamlined Request Flows: Revolutionized the request flow, leading to a reduction of one full-time equivalent (FTE). This significant change boosted efficiency and increased data quality.• Transformed Component Evaluations: Transformed the component review process, resulting in a reduction of more than one FTE. Leveraged my expertise to enhance R&D development processes and business systems, resulting in significant efficiency and effectiveness gains. Key contributions include:• Revamped Component Management: Institutionalized the component management processes across five businesses (representing 1/3 of Signify's turnover), leading to a substantial improvement in operational efficiency.• Reduced Component Complexity: Reduced the component count by 40% through strategic measures like product pruning, component commonality, and inflow control, streamlining processes and enhancing system efficiency.• Implemented New Workflow: Introduced a novel approach that reduced component inflow by 40%, significantly boosting overall efficiency and effectiveness.Above implementation proofs that addressing complexity is often the essence of remaining profitable for many companies in today's competitive environment.

Responsible for all resources of component engineering. The total team consists 35 people in 4 different locations ( Eindhoven, Shanghai, Pila - Poland, Chicago). The team is supporting the local development organization on technical component management. Main achievements are; • Reorganized and transformed the team from a local oriented to a global focused organization with cutting cost and maintaining service levels. • Further established a global component policy to support the purchasing and development organization.

Responsible for component engineering and mechanical engineering within lighting electronics Europe. The team supports all development activities in Europe on mechanical and component engineering. Next to that I build up a development team to develop LED drivers.

Accountable for the development of “fixed high frequency” Fluorescent Drivers for the European market. Here, I cultivated my experience to steer and execute projects from design to market.

Oversaw the compact fluorescent group and Fluorescent Development Group Europe in Shanghai. Engineered the lowest cost compact fluorescent lamp circuit within Philips. Established and managed an electronic development group for Europe, inclusive of project management.

Designed compact fluorescent drivers, integrating the most highly automated assembled electronic circuit and its derivatives in the industry at that time.
