Running my own independent consulting firm specialized within the area of Shared Services Centres (SSC).I´m a true beliver that the SSC concept does deliver competitive advantages if it is designed, implemented and executed properly. It's also an excellent platform to enable future growth into more value added services going forward.Having made this.

A fully fledged shared service function with the scope of traditional finance task and a well defined operating model. Process oriented organisation with a mature service delivery model. Since the start the quality has improved substanially in all processes. Services are delivered to a cost level >30% lower compared to baseline when the centre was launched.

A major change journey started back in 2001 within the service provider business in Sweden. Manning levels were reduced by 50 % during this years mainly through centralization, reduction of legal companies and common IT support. I hold various manager positions until I was appointed Head of the team in 2004.

Telia went public the very same month as I started. Telia Nära was at this time the largest subsidiary in Sweden (18 000 MSEK and 4000 employees) The company handled sales and marketing activities for residential customers and small companies.

A centralised finance function of approx 100 FTE. General accounting was centralised to Sweden as a transaction centre was established in UK. (sort of early adopter of the SSC concept)

A finance function of aprox 50 FTE located in 4 different countries. Ferry route operation between Sweden-Denmark/ Germany and Norway Denmark. Annual turnover of 3 200 MSEK with 3000 employees.

Main responsibility for management accounting & reporting including budget setting and forecasting operation. Spend one year in UK building up internal reporting facilities. Project-managed the implementation of a common accounting system in the Group.
