Leadership member of the Fairfax County Public Schools Adult and Community Education (FCPS ACE) program. This program emphasizes career and work readiness along with our premier adult ESOL programs, including a wide range of training opportunities in apprenticeship, business, information technology, health and medical, and trade and industrial programs as well as enrichment programs for K-adult including culinary arts, driver education, and world languages. The ACE program is one of the largest community education programs in the country, offering over 4,000 tuition based classes, employing over 600 instructors, and typically securing approximately 20,000 enrollments annually. As part of the Leadership Team, I direct the day-to-day activities of the program as well as coordinate strategic planning, marketing, finances and resource management, technology support services, registration, staff supervision, and logistics. At ACE, we strive to provide our students with enriching programs that are high quality, affordable, and meet their educational goals. ACE supports the FCPS Portrait of a Graduate and the Strategic Plan--Ignite--incorporating best practices in teaching and learning.

Supported budget analysis of the 10th largest public school district in the country with $2.8 billion budget, serving nearly 190k students at 198 schools/centers. Performed a full range of professional budgetary duties required to plan, organize, and conduct division-wide budget development for specific programs in excess of $18+M. Authored line of business analysis and reports, researched and developed budget content for submission to the School Board and inclusion in formal publications and recommendations. Participated as a Subject Matter Expert on selected projects and initiatives. Supported departments on budgetary issues and concerns. Collaborated with departments and analysts on selected projects, budget development, reviews and requests. Consolidated fiscal forecasts, conducted quarterly reviews, carryover reviews, and special budget exercises of assigned funds.

Provided comprehensive solutions to clients in private, non-profit, and government sectors producing real and sustained results in the areas of: project and operational management, policy/process design and optimization, business analytics, market analysis, and financial management and analysis. Authored dynamic quantitative business models, reports and procedures, business communications, and oversaw client initiated process automations.

Directed daily and strategic program operations for the largest national volunteer tax preparation program in the country, delivering over $350 million in Social ROI. Led planning and development for volunteer experiences and operations supporting 34K volunteers at 7K pop-up sites, using 18K individualized shipments of supplies serving 3+M taxpayers annually. Managed all financial functions, forecasting, and reporting. Facilitated all cross-functional team shared services, including procurement and facility contracting, print services, fulfillment, accounting, finance, research, call center operations, data issue response, technology, legal and insurance functions. Managed federal and private grant operations, reporting and compliance. Led content development and communications for all operational policies, procedures, training and resources. Supervised staff of 4, consultants, and directed the work of more than 7,000 volunteers.

Successfully directed operating and capital budget development for full spectrum infrastructure of a $1B organization with focus on the support services division with $173+M operating budget and 800+ personnel. Led and participated on multiple cross-cutting initiatives on behalf of the Chief Operations Officer. Recruited to design and successfully implemented new C-level and LOB dashboard reporting. Authored critical financial analysis and presentations for C-Suite on multiple issues such as: ROI for multiple proposals, business models forecasting/calculating various costs, and budget primers for new association leadership. Supervised staff of 4 and consultants.

Contributing FPA team member, developed Association’s revenue/expense annual, multi-year, and project budgets for association consolidated budget of $500+M annually. Established/maintained effective budget liaison to full spectrum infrastructure support services division. Designed and managed complex dynamic financial models to aid in programmatic assessment and determination, and authored C-Suite reports and presentations. Coordinated financial forecasts and variance analysis. Participated on multiple cross-functional teams to implement process changes and optomization, cost savings, and new enterprise wide systems and functionality. Researched changing regulatory requirements for incorporation into annual budget development cycle.

Performed selected financial management functions for a regional branch of multinational corporation with local annual sales in excess of $8 million annually. Coordinated efforts to automate and integrate existing systems and processes. Provided counsel to the General Manager on system implementation efforts, risks and opportunities.

Managed grant applications and reporting, budget development and all financial management, including payroll, vendor management, audit procedures, and dues management for non-profit advocacy organization with multiple funding streams in excess of $400,000 annually. Provided direct support of the social mission by managing state wide conferences, member databases, and selected hotline services.
