Publishing And Communications Manager
CurrentEmile Woolf Publishing, part of the Emile Woolf International Training Group, is a leading global academic publisher. Our ACCA division is one of the best known; most established publishers of accountancy training materials and has focused on the UK and international markets for over 25 years. As the Publishing Manager, I combine a strong eye for detail and accuracy with an open minded and solution-focused approach. My role involves many processes and requires me to comfortably manage multiple different projects simultaneously. This is a vital role within the organisation, responsible for ensuring the timely production and successful delivery of all titles within the Emile Woolf Group. I manage a production team and continually ensure best practice and efficient processes are maintained. My role has the responsibility for a growing list of titles, currently running at circa 200 per year. As well as managing my own direct team and coordinating with suppliers, I also run the editorial, marketing and sales teams. Skills and Experience• Strong verbal and written communication skills• The ability to work to moving deadlines and continually juggle multiple projects• Excellent negotiation skills with an ability to also build strong relationships• Proven ability to work internationally across diverse cultures and markets• A positive attitude to change and an energetic and collaborative disposition• Tenacity with the ability to drive projects and processes through to completion• Demonstrable examples of improving processes, adding value and influencing people• Sound technical knowledge of the production process, both pre-press and manufacturing
