I have fifteen years experience educating and counseling people about Medicare. I specialize in taking complex material and breaking it down into a format that can be easily understood. I am passionate about making sure those new to Medicare fully understand all their options so they can make a decision that best suits their individual needs. I am equally passionate about ensuring professionals are knowledgeable and focused on customer needs.While at Farm Bureau Health Plans, I used multiple platforms for Medicare education including in-person and online "The Medicare Puzzle" seminars, face-to-face and telephone counseling, monthly education articles for staff, newsletters for Farm Bureau members, weekly "Medicare Monday" Facebook posts, and bi-monthly blogs on fbhealthplans.com.I left Farm Bureau Health Plans in 2019 to pursue other opportunities that would allow me to more effectively interact with and assist older adults. I now work at the Maury County Senior Center in Columbia, TN. I am in a position to continue educating and counseling older adults about Medicare as well as helping members connect with a myriad of other resources.I retired from my position as Executive Director at Maury County Senior Center in November 2022. I have relocated to Sherman, TX and am working P/T as a LTC ombudsman for the Area Agency on Aging through TCOG.
