Mind, Body & Seoul Martial Arts will offer classes for all ages in Taekwondo, Korean Kick-boxing, Self-Defense and cardio Kick-boxing.Sam Jeong, Master Instructor and co-owner is a 7th degree black belt in Taekwondo, 9th degree black belt in Korean Kick-boxing and 8th degree black belt in Hapkido, Korean self-defense.

I am working part time teaching English in Anyang South Korea while we're living here.

Hired to manage the billing and collection functions at a large national law firm headquartered in Detroit.

Managing a department of about 20 billing/collection staff in 10 offices around the country. Responsibilities included staffing, training, coaching, reporting to Members at Dykema and serving on a Financial Review committee with a team of Members. I provided presentations on billing and collection topics to members in their respective locations and at annual meetings. My role was to increase the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing and to improve collections.

I was hired to reorganize the billing and auditing function for an insurance broker and third party administrator. During the last year, I hired and trained staff to audit carrier invoices and, using automation, reduced the back log and improved the accuracy of the audits.

-Managed an HR staff of 5 for a 500-person environmental consulting firm with offices in 11 states-Participated in due diligence activities during the sale of the firm to an equity investment group-Part of the due diligence team for, and coordinated the integration of, a small acquisition in Boston-Participated in the selection of a new 401k provider and handled the transition to the new plan

-Responsible for daily borrowing activities and maintaining adequate collateral levels to meet the firm’s financial needs-Developed and gave, for staff and management in each office, a presentation on the importance of maintaining high collateral levels and how each employee’s work impacted collateral numbers-Supervised a total billing/collection staff of 25 spread over 10 offices

-Joined corporate staff to supervise accounts receivable and billing functions for all Clayton offices-Streamlined accounts receivable functions and significantly reduced the days outstanding receivables -Turned the accounting employees in separate offices into a unified team through annual meetings to provide face-to-face contact and training sessions

-Worked in numerous departments in the laboratory doing sample analyses -Served as afternoon shift supervisor for 4 years-Learned to work within a professional business environment and with all levels of management

-Responsible for billing and collection function for the Novi laboratory, then for the Midwest office-Reduced the days’ receivable numbers through diligent collection strategies while maintaining strong customer relations

Taught biology, algebra and geometry at the high school level.
