As a PhD Candidate at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the TU Delft, I combine fundamental and applied research on a variety of Machine Learning methods, with a focus on applications for Air Traffic Control. My main topic of interest in this research is how (Multi-Agent) Reinforcement Learning methods can be combined with current advances such as attention networks and transformers to improve safe seperation of aircraft, with the ultimate goal of creating a fully autonomous air traffic controller prototype.

Researching a variety of Machine Learning solutions for predicting aircraft arrival time.

As the Strategy & Software Engineer at Vattenfall Solar Team I was responsible for maintaining and developing the onboard computer inside one of the worlds most efficient solar powered cars. During this year I worked on improving data communication and efficient cruise control software. Additionaly as the strategist of the team I developed an optimization script that combined weather, road and car performance data to determine an optimal race strategy for the American Solar challenge. Sadly due to Covid-19 this race never happened. In an attempt to still test our car we set our eyes on breaking the world-record of most distance driven by a fully solar powered car in 12 hours, which we managed with 924km.

Worked as a hardware and software maintainer for different companies, mainly as IT support.

Tutored high school students who are struggling with physics/mechanics, chemistry and mathemathics.Developed a variety of soft skills that are beneficial for explaining a variety of subjects and ideas to a broad audience.

Organised the Lectures and Excursions for which I contacted the companies and make sure everything went according to plan.Obtained a large amount of knowledge on the actual developments in the space industry on top of the technical skills and engineering knowledge of space subjects already covered in the curriculum of my study.
