The Arts Council is the Irish Government's national body for funding and developing the arts in Ireland. As the Arts Council's adviser for policy for Arts Participation, Arts & Disability, Arts & Health I was ensured the Arts Council's decision was informed by outward-facing information, with responsibility for a budget of £750,000 and giving policy advice for a portfolio of 20+ organisations.

Overall responsibility for a regional NGO. I delivered family concerts and youth music projects, and devised Sounding Out, a 3-year multi-agency region-wide youth music partnership. I raised a groundbreaking £1million from Lottery, philanthropic and statutory partners and acheived 500% growth in 5 years, forging partnerships which secured the future of this small, evolving arts organisation.

Based in the Community Education Team of the Royal Liverpool Philhamonic Society, I liaised between the Phil and the diverse communities of Merseyside to devise and lead Arts and Education projects. I devised Late Licence, a region-wide arts & older people initiative, and I created the Philharmonic Gospel Choir, liaising widely with Liverpool's black and diverse communities, and this work was awarded an Arts & Education award from Arts Council England.
