I am semi retired however re registered as an RGN at the start of the COVID pandemic joining the nurse bank at a local hospital to help out providing basic nursing care where required and have more recently taken on the role of nurse vaccinator working at two sites in North Basingstoke.Previous to this I was an experienced nurse and senior manager with an extensive knowledge and skills from working in a variety of health care settings within the NHS for over 40 years. This included ward and departmental management, project and programme leadership, commissioning of patient services and clinical governance and quality agendas.My key skills lay within project management, leading bespoke pieces of work around service improvement or raising clinical standards and developing governance frameworks in health care settings. Keen to improve myself and my ability to run my own business I took over a public house in Oct 2015 with the aim to both bring it back into the centre of village life and make it a successful business - both have been achieved.
