• Designing, assembling, and maintaining automated manufacturing systems for tubes, hoses, dipsticks, plastic and metal engine components in a high-volume production setting for North American OEM car manufacturers (Tier 1) using APQP and lean production methods for new product launches and day-to-day production• 3D assembly design for machines, tooling, and robotic systems to automate forming, and assembly processes using SolidWorks and DraftSight, experienced with CSA guidelines for use in safeguarding of machinery, and industrial robots and robot systems• 2D drafting and interpreting automotive related engineering drawings using GD&T standard• Hands-on troubleshooting daily production issues, assembling and reverse engineering machines, and creating fixtures and rapid prototyping concepts using 3D printing and CNC machining• Conceptualize, plan, and integrate automated systems including programming machines using Sysmac Studio and RSLogix, creating robotic path macros using RoboDK, using Keyence vision sensors and vision systems for error proofing and fault detection, and interpreting electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic drawings• Liaise with US and Canadian based equipment suppliers and raw material distributors to produce manufacturing equipment• Manage multi-disciplinary projects and product launches using external tools such as PPAP, and internal organizational tools such as Clickup, Microsoft Teams, and Project• Projects list: Robotic bend and weld cell, Zinc die cast robotic work cell, Tube end-forming press design, Automated press-fitting machine, Robotic bin-picking, Injection moulding product corrections, CNC bender control correction and CMM using laser scanning

• Rear suspension component design and fabrication• Performing engineering calculations to optimize suspension dynamics• Integration of suspension parts in collaboration with Frame, Drivetrain, and Brakes teams• Fabrication of suspension components through welding, and conventional and CNC machining• Vehicle testing and SAE competitions: Top 10 finish in latest Canadian Competition (Quebec 2018)• Teach future club members about rear suspension design

Food Processing and Packaging Plant16 Month Engineering Internship Position• Integrated and launched machines for high volume food production and packaging through mechanical design of machine layouts, changeover tooling fixtures, ergonomic design, and guarding and safety equipment• Gained experience in Control Systems Design; programming PLCs and HMIs in RSLogix 5000 and FactoryTalkView• Line #2 Plastic Can Project – organized and designed the in-factory layout for a packaging line for a new family of products with a rectangular plastic container, liaised with external trades contractors, attended equipment verification and factory acceptance tests to learn integration requirements for various packaging machines on the line• Bag Sealing Line Labelling Project – researched and organized the installation of a in-line, print-and-apply bag-labeller for a large-volume spice-filling line reducing the need to manually apply labels to bags for additional labour savings
