Building and operating eLectures, a system for automated lecture capture, based on open source software like Opencast. We've built custom appliances from individual components that were able to automatically capture & encode multiple video sources. Videos were processed via Opencast and distributed to students via integrations in our LMS. Appliances were built on Arch Linux with automated installation and configuration through Ansible, capturing was done via custom ffmpeg bash scripts integrated with PyCA, a FOSS software that I contributed to.
