Director Of Nursing- Critical Care And Telemetry
Responsibilities included strategic planning and daily operations for ultimately 5 critical care units (Open Heart, ICU (3), CCU) and 5 telemetry units. For 3 1/2 years also had responsibility for Behavioral Health (34 bed inpatient mental health unit and Partial Hospitalization Program). Helped design the existing Coronary Care Unit. Managed the ICU and Telemetry unit at Riverside Hospital prior to its closure. Served on Critical Care, Code Blue, Hospital QI and other committees. Traveled to Murmansk Russia to represent Nursing in the US with Mayor Austin and physicians. Traveled to Manila, Philippines re: Nursing recruitment.
