I truly believe in the power of Story to move, inspire, motivate and ultimately produce positive change. Even with diverse communications experiences in documentary production (seen on The History Channel, A&E and PBS,) brand storytelling, promotional writing and narrative scripting, my central goal is always the same-- to understand the needs of the intended audience as deeply as the message or story that’s being told. As a collaborative media professional working in nonprofit spaces, I'm especially appreciative of diverse teams with global perspectives and am most activated when promoting positive social impacts.-Strong verbal and written communication skills-Strong written and visual storytelling experience and ability-Strategic thinker and creative content producer in multiple mediums-Collaborative project manager and team member-Experienced in relating to diverse groups of people and viewing issues and stories through a global perspective-Strong interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and growth mindset-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and eager to learn additional toolsIt is curiosity that has always prompted me towards the work I do. I have always been fascinated by the fact that every person has their own unique story, motivations and challenges. So, whether interviewing a lawyer, a rock star or a small child in a neglected neighborhood, I’m equally fascinated by hearing the different perspectives. I also believe that as humans, people are more the same than they are different, regardless of cultures, worldviews, economic backgrounds and the like. Every story has the potential to tap into these core universal human desires, even needs. And what is promotion… of an idea or an organization… but telling the Story in a way that inspires action.
