I am an experienced organisational learning and development leader and practitioner with extensive experience working in large organisations. My practice in the workplace is underscored by a sound academic foundation and an evidence-based approach to adult learning.In large, complex organisations where change is constant it is important to attend to both the development of individuals and teams working in the system and the system itself. Taking this integrated, whole-of-system approach is where I see the greatest potential for supporting the business to achieve operational and strategic goals, enabling the acquisition and transfer of new knowledge and skill, developing capable leaders and growing a positive staff and customer experience culture.I started my professional life as a secondary school teacher and then moved into adult learning and development roles in local government and health, managing teams of dedicated and talented practitioners delivering a range of L&D services to front line staff and leaders.
