No. 246), during the summer of my first year at Lovely Professional University. Established on June 9, 2016, this national not-for-profit organization is dedicated to the empowerment of the 12.3 million deaf individuals in India.During my internship, I contributed to the **Community Development Project**, which focused on enhancing the quality of life for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. The organization’s mission is to provide these individuals with the tools and skills needed for self-reliance, higher education, and financial independence. I actively participated in various initiatives, including:- Organizing the first-ever trip for special students to Singapore, supported by the Governor and Chief Minister of U.P.- Assisting in the process that enabled deaf individuals to obtain two-wheeler licenses.- Supporting the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaigns through awareness programs, rallies, and cultural activities.- Engaging in skill development programs such as stitching, computer literacy, and craft making, which aim to empower differently-abled individuals.My time at Divyang Development Society was not only a learning experience but also an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who are often overlooked. This internship reinforced my passion for community service and has driven me to continue working towards the betterment of society.
