I believe that each student has individual needs, yet they all need to have an engaging environment in which they not only grow academically but also socially, morally, and emotionally. Throughout their development into more well-rounded individuals, my role as a teacher is to act as a guide, not a lecturer.In order to do this role, I believe strongly in enhancing students’ learning experiences through inquiry learning, scaffolded activities, and social learning. This means that they will be able to work with hands-on activities like WebQuests which employ critical thinking and writing skills and projects that enable them to use their creativity and inquisitiveness to build outputs based on their individual or collective efforts. I believe in guiding them on how to research and verify information, synthesizing what they have learned, creating solutions to issues they are presented with, and giving them the confidence to present and talk about their work. This also includes considering their individual learning styles so that they will be able to perform to the best of their unique abilities. Toward that end, my primary focus should be on identifying and introducing the experiences, activities, and challenges that enhance everybody’s learning ().Throughout all that, I intend to equip them with relevant 21st Century skills by incorporating various available tools and technologies and the necessary skills to use them. I endeavor to include relevant digital technology in education to take advantage of the increasing ubiquity of electronic devices. The identified 21st-century digital skills are technical, information, communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. All of these will be implemented in a completely safe learning environment in which students are encouraged to support each other, express themselves well, as well as embrace diversity in its many forms.
