In late 2023, the DBCT adopted a process to recruit and retain a Grant Review Committee comprised of non-profit and business leaders in the St. Louis Community. I will be assigned, along with three (3) other committee members to review submissions of Letters of Intent (LOIs), applications and vote to allocate awards for the Spring or Fall DBCT grant cycle for the duration of my term. In addition to my review of submissions during the grant cycle, I will work closely with the DBCT Executive Director and Grant Chair providing feedback and when available, attending agency visits and events to better understand the impact of the allocated awards and grant requests.The Dana Brown Charitable Trust funds organizations in the St. Louis area that support and provide for the health, education, and welfare of financially disadvantaged children and programs that enable children to expand their knowledge of the world and nature through programs that feature wild animals. The trust has awarded, through a grant process, more than 99 million dollars, to over 456 unique non-profit organizations serving the St. Louis metropolitan area in the 29 years it has been in place. -
