Leading on the implementation of the Mid Nottinghamshire Transformation programme across community services in Mid Notts.

Specialising in corporate partnerships, inter agency collaboration and relationship brokerage, the core of my consulting work is aimed at helping pharmaceutical companies create effective relationships with their NHS customers. I aim to utilise my knowledge and understanding of the NHS to help companies understand and respond to the rapidly changing healthcare environment I also work directly for NHS clients, helping clinical commissioning groups to develop and implement outcomes focused disease management and service redesign programmes. Where appropriate, I support NHS organisations to work effectivly in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry and other stakeholders to maximise the outcomes of these programmes , brokering the relationship between the stakeholders and project managing the implementation of the projects.

PANNASH ( Pulmonary Advancement Network for Newark and Sherwood) is a multi stakeholder joint working programme between the CCG, Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust, County Health Partnerships and 5 pharmaceutial companies.

Programme manager for regional project which aims to improve identification and management of Atrial Fibrillation in primary care. Being developed and implemented as a joint working programme between the NHS, the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare and diagnostics industry and the voluntary sector.

Interim position. Commissioned by the newly formed Nottingham City Clinical Commissioning Group to develop a strategy for the management of Long Term Conditions in the city.

Commissioned by the PCT I project manage 3 large joint working programmes involving a total of 13 pharmaceutical companies, the local NHS acute trust, the PCT , Community services,3 local PBC groups and patient organisations.The programmes, focused on COPD, Diabetes and Osteoporosis / falls are all commissioning based service redesign programmes which aim to reduce avoidable admissions to hospital and improve management of the conditions in primary care.

The Pharmaceutical Serious Mental Illness Initiative (PSMI) is a group of pharmaceutical companies, all members of the ABPI, with an interest in the research, development and marketing of medicines for serious mental illness.The company members work towards a common objective of improving the treatment of schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses (SMI), for the benefit of those who live with the condition, their carers and society as a whole.Since 2003, the PSMI has engaged in a number of high profile initiatives, working closely with national stakeholders, policy makers and policy influencers, focusing on raising the awareness of the challenges of treating serious mental illness and campaigning for mental health to be treated as a priority by the NHS and the Government.The group aims to work collaboratively with other stakeholders to promote and maintain a positive environment for the effective use of medicines in the management of serious mental illnesses.The initial focus on schizophrenia has now been widened to encompass the broader range of serious mental illnesses.From September 2009, the PSI has been formally affiliated to (and accountable to) the ABPI and is now an official ABPI working group.
