Virtual Datacenter Infrastructure • The virtuel infrastructure is the platform TDC Technology are consolidating on right now. • The platform also host the most dataintensive platforms in TDC incl. all OTT services. In 2011 YouSee decided to implement at virtual datacenter based on VM-Ware, EMC storage, Cisco UCS and supporting all Linux and Windows platforms. The platform is intended for all new services, but also host consolidation of existing platforms. Service Provisioning in YouSee • Sigma Systems Service Management Platform still used in YouSee and recently also introduced for provisioning from TDC BSS platform Columbus In 2009 YouSee signed a contract with Canadian Sigma Systems on Service Provisioning, covering all services in Yousee from the BSS layer to the network. That introduced the need for CMTS equipment and an IP infrastructure. I had the responsibility for both from introduction in 2001 until 2011. First Digital Headend in Europe My first task in YouSee (TDC Cable TV), was focused on building a Digital Headend servicing more than 600 TV services and operative from 2007. It was build from ground up and everything from colors on the walls, to cable systems, and DVB/MPEG configuration had to be decided. Worked for the local Municipality "Vaerloese Kommune" as a consultant on Multi Media, maintaining there AV equipment and educating in DTP, Video production etc. From 1992 to 1994 I was responsible for a local TV station, producing news from the Municipality.
