About Jan Straka

I like making stuff happen - particularly when I can help people increase their impact for the common good. I'm currently responsible for managing the 100M+ CZK philanthropic portfolio of Prague based Pale Fire Capital. Previously, I founded and co-led Teach Live. Teach Live is here to foster systemic change in education by pioneering new approaches in preparing people for the role of 21st century educators. Teach Live grew out of my work at Česká spořitelna's Depositum Bonum Foundation, where I devised and delivered highly innovative projects in elementary, middle and high-school education. I have significant experience in educational innovation and educational policy. Besides educational innovations and educational policy, I'm also interested in public policy in general and leadership development.
