MyProfs-bv / Posting to the ONEgas De-Complexion teamAchthoevenweg 18, 7951 SK Staphorst, the NetherlandsThe De-Complexing team is responsible for De-Complexing a number of gas treatment installations in the southern North Sea, owned by Asset ONEgas. This project is essential to extend the economic live time of the field and the installations. Due to declining field pressures and lower production, the Opex costs will increase so it is necessary to find another way of operating to extend the economic live of the gas field with its installations. The purpose of this project is to stop the gas treatment on all “ small “ production facilities. Instead of doing this treatment (separation of gas and water) on each of them, we transfer this “ wetgas “ to one of the larger gas treatment installations and we do the separation on this platform. With this way we can save Opex costs and extent the economic live time of the field. For the engineering we have an in-house multi-discipline team responsible for the development of the Basis for Design and project specification and my role within this team is Snr. Project Engineer.

Team lead for all kind of brownfield modifications within the ONEgas asset of Shell (NL and UK).The modification team exist out a multi national workforce of approximately 35 engineers with all kind of professions (Process – Technical Safety – Instrumentation – Electrical – Mechanical (static and rotating) We have a turnaround of approximately 100 modification a year each with a budget between 50.000 and 2.500.000 Euro.

Interim Section Head for fiscal metering and Quality Measuring Instrumentation for the NL part of the asset ONEgas, which comprises twenty-two production platforms for oil and gas. One gas treatment plant (Den Helder).Responsible for the execution off planned maintenance on all fiscal metering equipment, including gas chromatographs and flow computers, several analysers for different purposes, examples are: O2, hydrocarbons in natural gas, water in gas, instrumentation air and natural gas dew point, H2S and turbidity analysers. Also responsible for the maintenance activities on acoustic leak detection, data gathering and PLC systems, personal safety equipment (Drager and MSA), operational equipment (LSA and mercury).Rationalization of the department workload and development of a work-scope for the purpose of contracting out the maintenance work on fiscal metering and quality equipment.

Co-ordinator and field trainer of a multidisciplinary training program for Junior / Senior Training of Operations and Maintenance staff. (OT / SOT training).Training started in 1998, for 250 candidates. Total training programme expenditure 3.000.000 Ned. Guilders / year.

In charge of 3 Expatriate supervisors and a multi national workforce of approximately40 technicians to maintain and overhaul all instrumentation equipment associated with the production and processing of oil, gas, water injection and a power plant in a desert location,which comprises six oil production stations, including gas compression and dehydration, a central oil processing facility ( 280,000 b/d, a water lift / water treatment plant and a water injection process (400,000 b/d) a base camp and a power generation station ( 18 MW ).Duties and responsibilities include :• Planning and execution of all instrumentation work to ensure the availability of all instrumentation systems, whiles maintaining the highest standard of safety and technical integrity of equipment.• Ensure efficient use of spare parts and consumable.• Upkeep of accurate maintenance records on COMAC computer system.• Development and implementation of training programme for local staff.• Close liaison with other departments and Senior Management to ensure all production targets are achieved.

- Electrician involved in maintenance activities at different oil fields in the Netherlands.- Instrument technician responsible for the maintenance activities at the different gas fields in the Netherlands - Job planning and preparation, responsible for all instrumentation activities, including QMI and telemetry.- Assistant instrument engineer telemetry, responsible for all maintenance activities and plant changes. - Assistant instrument engineer Quality Measuring Instrumentation, responsible for all QMI maintenance activities, fiscal metering, personal and stationary detection systems.- Head of the instrumentation workshop and focal point for preventive maintenance inspections of well testing equipment.
