Provides the leadership, guidance and management expertise necessary for Matthew’s Crossing to fulfill its mission and strategic plan. Responsible for achieving financial objectives. Manages costs and ensure continuity of funding and adequate control and accounting of funds. Expands revenue sources through grants, corporate and individual sponsors and other creative approaches to resource development. Serves as the organization’s public ambassador by developing, fostering and maintaining effective relationships with individual sponsors, businesses, community and business leaders, other private and non-profit organizations, media, government agencies and elected officials. Demonstrates respect for volunteers and ensures support, safety and wellbeing of volunteers. Maximizes volunteer involvement in organizations’ mission and organizational practices. Delegates, encourages, communicates, respects and leads staff in maintaining a climate of excellence, accountability, and significantly contribute to the organization’s values of compassion, dignity and hope. Recruit, orientate and train new board members. Encourages feedback and guidance from board members. Works to develop strong relationships. Committees are appropriately supported.

Member of executive leadership team and interim Chief of Programs and Organizational Advancement that shared leadership for the organization’s advancement including the development and implementation of: a national public policy agenda, re-branding campaign, organizational strategic planning, staff development, board development and committee staffing, program management, program and organizational budgeting and forecasting, innovative business models, fund development strategies/relationship cultivationManage staff of 5 – 15 to deliver outstanding member engagement services which included: author, co-author and research associate on publications with national distribution and media attention; oversight of recruitment and retention services for 1000 – 1500 members annually; oversight and execution of annual conferences, including the annual flagship event - National Policy Symposium in Washington, D.C. for 500 – 800 participants; oversight of staff who assess, develop, deliver and evaluate a continuous quality improvement program for members who demonstrate best practices in the delivery of services; provide training and technical assistance to members on non-profit governance and administration, delivering direct community services to customers; develop and deliver new member programs and projects; oversight of staff who provide services for members who serve military branches with child care quality improvement programs; leadership development program to promote longevity of service in the profession; technical assistance and training on advocacyPartnership development with national organizations and initiatives including disaster preparedness, nonprofit governance best practices, exceptional family members program for military families, working with state governments, meeting/event planning,
