Our core work - face-to-face ship visiting has never been so important, as we react to the changing needs of seafarers. I am responsible for the Development team raising valuable funds from all income streams around the world. I also have responsibility for the marketing and communications of the Mission and have a small dedicated team working with me.Our Adventure Race Japan in 2023 was a particularly significant achievement - raising US$1.3m with $950K going towards our frontline work. The event is repeated in 2025.I am pleased that our team has really made a difference, and worked hard during the pandemic to raise even more funds for our seafarers upon who we all depend. I was delighted to be chosen for the IHS Fairplay Women in Shipping publication featuring key women in shipping and thrilled to be awarded the BEM in January 2022.I am driven by seeing the impact that the Mission makes on the everyday lives of seafarers and their families. The fundraising and marketing activities are vital to helping us reach seafarers and enhance their lives.Seafaring is very lonely occupation and our chaplains around the world work hard to help seafarers with their daily anxieties and problems. They are often the first to see if a seafarer has a problem and has the skills to help.We all depend on seafarers for our everyday needs, so I encourage you to support this important work. I look forward to hearing from you. Show less
