I have been in the Tanker, Bulk and Chemical shipping industry since 2000. During these years I have had various roles in Accounting and Business Application Management, where I continuously have learned to know the core business. Through this I have developed a cross functional understanding for how Chartering, Operations, Control, Technical and Accounting departments work individually and all together.I understand how the business systems work and how they interact with each other through interfaces, and I am able to present that for the business, aiming to make it transparent for everybody.Business users are the experts of their own specific business areas. I work with these experts and continuously learn about their business and their processes. Through this understanding I am able to create and present the cross functional and cross system overview for them as well as I am able to guide them to be better at what they do by optimizing their processes.I assist the business with application management, project management and process optimization. I meet the business at all levels in the organization and facilitate meetings, workshops and training where required. I am the link between the business and the system supplier.I thrive working in a challenging international environment having many - but yet still a reasonable amount of - balls in the air at the same time aiming to catch them all in the right order. Being structured and working methodically are key factors in my work to achieve this.Through all of this I seek to be able to provide the best sustainable solutions to the benefit of the user and the company as a whole.
