Leading, planning & execution of trials on manufacturing plant & pilot plant scale, including completion & ownership of relevant project documentation (TSG) & troubleshooting .Compilation & ownership of all R&D related documents within the NPD stage gate process including P&L input, worksmaps, artwork check sheets, technical specifications, job aids.Smooth management of assigned technical and packaging related projects & project logistics of standard complexity, including management of suppliers.Work closely with regulatory to ensure legal compliance of all products.Compilation,analysis & interpretation of data for quality scorecards and/consumer research, trials, product analysis & associated report writing & presentations.Product formulation & development of prototypes (Experimental Design) to achieve a consumer winning design.Identify & lead cost savings/productivity in conjunction with other business functions, particularly led by changes in process / product design.Manage & maintain all TSG documents & product design standards.Support QA to ensure product, packaging & seasoning comply to design quality & conduct troubleshooting on raw materials, final product & process when required.Identify & lead opportunities to drive R&D Pilot Plant Capability building. Identify & lead opportunities to drive R&D Analytical Capability & Reliability building.Ensure there are documented processes in place to manage the R&D Pilot plant & analytical lab.Ensure the layout of the pilot plant & analytical lab is in line with operational management principles.Manage all R&D and analytical laboratory equipment, ensuring all service agreements are in place.Lead the implementation, commissioning & training of all new pilot plant R&D and analytical laboratory equipment. Lead all troubleshooting in the pilot plant & analytical laboratory. Lead Internal & External Proficiency Testing.Manage Employee Health & Safety Agenda for R&D.Manage Pilot Plant and Laboratory Budget.
