Leading the fundraising arm of the ACLU of Hawai'i Affiliate to increase philanthropic support for the protection of civil liberties through litigation, legislative and public education programs across the state of Hawai'i.

Major Gift fundraising. Duties include: relationship building with prospective and current donors; planning and executing donor trips to Palmyra Atoll; proposal, grant, and report writing and editing; writing stories for national and local publications; supervisory role over our Donor Relations Manager; working with fundraisers and directors across the Conservancy on major initiatives; virtual tours of Palmyra for small groups of donors; arranging site visits to key TNC sites around Hawaii; establishing legacy gifts.

Create, develop, and steward major gift opportunities with alumni, friends, and organizational partners of colleges at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Research and identification of funding opportunities; proposal editing; strategic relationship development with a portfolio of funders; coordination of cross-unit grant programs; tracking and implementation of stewardship activities; plan and implementation of WSU’s first-ever WSUi3 Event highlighting research with commercialization potential; coordination of the 2014 WSU Innovators Event; participation on search committees; initiation of WSU CFR’s social media presence; initiation and development of WSU CFR’s Strategic Foundation Relations Plan.

Sample portfolio and portfolio review formatting; client communication and portfolio review process oversight; monthly reconciliation of Clearwater data to client custody data; performance of basic secretarial duties for the trading desk (answering phones, data entry to Salesforce CRM, etc.).
