Ensuring that all kids have access to the educational opportunities that will allow them to thrive and achieve their goals is my passion. Working to address educational inequities, I bring both:- a lens focused on the experiences of students, teachers, and families based on my nearly ten years working as a special education teacher in public schools, and - a systems-level perspective developed through eight years working in education philanthropy and at an advocacy organization supporting large public education systems to improve outcomes for students, especially students of color and multilingual learners.Colleagues know me as an inclusive leader who is able to design and facilitate meetings and processes through which everyone feels valued and heard. I appreciate collaborating with others and integrating new perspectives into my work. I am recognized for my strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities at one time.
